With the last two weeks being unseasonably warm and now this recent wet reality check, what is your strategy for the weekend?
I’m taking a day off from work and am scratching my head.

Depends on the lake. Water temps dropped from 70 to 60 on some Northern MN lakes...the fish are in hiding...at least for me. Time to start bowhunting!

Rain gear & Suckers for me.. Going to start fishing the channel edges & casting the flats on all the flowages in Tomahawk/Rhinelander areas I can hit in 2 days. Cabbage patches if nothing on the breaks.. Topwaters, DBL CG & Hellhounds, with a big fat sucker hanging off the side.. Whatever it takes.
I'm the Batman! I'm going to make it happen!

There is a nice low pressue sytm. now comming into Mn/Wi. Always a good time to fish, Keep your eye on moon rise/set times. I am going to look for fish on the wind swept rocks near shallow water. Also look for balls of minnows always a good site this time of year...

Best strategy: Keep warm, so when the fish hits you'll be concentrating on fishing, not on how miserable you feel.

The fish have been on that last couple days. Seem to be finding them up in the wind hit weed flats. Get out, deal with the weather and catch some fish!

Save the golf for a nice, sunny day. Nothing like some nasty musky weather to get the juices flowing!

Been slow here the last four days. Monday and Tuesday were 38 mph winds and 4-7' seas, so no fishing those days. Yesterday and today water temps dropped 10-12 degrees in 48 hrs and the fish are shut down. The cool water is good, but not this fast I don't think. I think it needs to stabilize a bit, and then gradually cool off. I'll probably try it Saturday in the rain and then hit it Monday and Tuesday and see where we're at. I've cast my entire box yesterday and today and had one lack-luster follow from a 43.

Temps dropped here 10-12 degrees in the last four days with blasting winds out of the NW for a few days then to the ESE coupled with freezing temps and night. Lake appears to be turning. Crystal clear last week, now coffee stained.
I am going to against the cold front grain, I will be moving extremely shallow to the reed beds. Try to find some stable water and hopefully a monster.

I'll be hitting the shallow shallow green weedbeds to start. That not working I'll the rocks as the temps go up. Love to drag some suckers but not allowed in tournament. Good luck all.
