I was looking for some help/advise on a 360 degree mount. Does anyone have any pictures of their mounts that they would be willing to share? I'm not sure what pose I'm looking for, as I haven't seen to many full mounts out there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at lax reproductions site they have some really nice 360 degree mounts that you could get some ideas from.

I saw those, but the pics aren't the best. I was wondering if anyone else out there has done a full mount. If so, worth it?

It's worth it if you want it..just don't put it on a wall

I'm a Fittante man through and through for paint jobs, but I saw Lax's splash mount at the expo last year and was very impressed. The ability to make water hang in the air and appear "wet" blew me away. None the less, whomever you go through, I believe you're looking at $18 an inch for both sides done. The pedastal and accessories can be delivered by both for extra costs.

I agree with you on Fittante. I have a 47" Tiger replica on the wall and love it. This one, though, is a fish of a lifetime and decided to do a full mount within a glass case. I've already found a taxidermist that I'm excited about, just haven't decided on a pose. Mouth open, closed, swimming, straight, attacking something, gradually up or down, etc. That's why I was looking for some pics of full mounts.

Those mounts are awesome. I was thinking of a replica for the fish by my login name that I caught last year. I checked at the Muskie Expo and was quoted $675 by Lax and Fittante. That sounded fair enough. So, I asked my wife and she said "That is a lot of money for something that will go in the garage".

After many discussions, pleading, begging, a couple of fits, crying, hand wringing, and general nagging, she said that I could have one replica to put in the actual house - but only one EVER! So, considering the fact that I almost caught a much larger Muskie just last September, I decided to wait until I caught something bigger or regressed to the point that I couldn't catch anything at all. Not sure which is going to happen first.

The best thing about replicas is one can wait a long time before deciding to get one. Almost like Brett Farve.

Those mounts aren't too bad...best part of those is the "flair" added. Cool

Those are beautiful mounts. The middle one is scary realistic! Looks like it could have been someone snapping a photo thru aquarium glass. Nice.
