| I recently bought a couple planer boards to try out for muskies. However, I'm new to trolling and wanted some insight. How far do you like to keep the boards from the boat? Does it make that much of a difference from your experience? I like to experiment with these kinds of things, but that can be easier said that done. How long should I stick to a technique (i.e. trolling depth) if there are no results. An hour, a day, a week? I'm sure these things are influenced on a various of things (baitfish, timing, weather, etc.) . I know these kinds of questions are so broad that there are no correct answers. Any experience/insight is much appreciated. | |

Musky Hunter had a great article by Gregg Thomas about trolling too.
I think it was in the spring issue?
