Location: Glen Ellyn Il | After researching the reports on high speed retrieve reels, one real stood out on the line retrieve per crank, so I purchased a Shimano Trinidad model TN 14 gear ratio 6.2 to 1. I tested the real on my pond and it works great, long cast with very little effort, also will bulge DCG with a normal cranking speed mater of fact it can easily get the lure out of the water
QUESTION How do you guys mend the line on the spool while retrieving?, I do not palm the real so I think that is good, I have been practicing by using my thumb to push the line the other way, I find myself looking at the real from time to time and I find that distracting. Any suggestion greatly appreciated.
