Location: West Haven, UT | I went fishing on 8-4-09 and caught a 40" Tiger muskie who swallowed my lure. The needle nose pliers did the trick but I had to get my fingers a little to close to the teeth. Well the thing bit down, then did a headshake, and the thumb took the brunt of it. No problems, thumb still attached, just a flesh wound. Nothing that a little triple antibiotic ointment wont clear up along with a bandaid, or so I thought. two weeks later, still hurts and is infected. I make the Dr. appointment. We both don't think there is any foreign object in my thumb. He gives me a choice, take a antibiotic for 10 days, or get an x-ray and then decide. I opt for the antibiotic and out the door I go(bad choice I know). Well two weeks go by and still the thumb looks terrible. Go back to the doctor today, take the x-ray, doctor comes in and say's, I dont know who I should call, a dentist or a hand expert, you have a tooth stuck in your thumb. WHAT????? So now I get to see a hand specialist tomorrow to have the dang tooth removed. Great fishing story. Hopefully I can get the picture of the fish, thumb, and X-ray to upload so you can see it.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Caught a very large muskie on the Goon with my son. Blood all over the side of the fish. Not from the fish...I tried to hand land it and it got me a tooth through my thumb. Hannah at Claybanks Marina had the picture of that big girl next to the tooth under the glass at the marina for years. |

| My brother had a muskie tooth in his hand for about 3 months a few years back. Took it out himself but someone ended up throwing it away. Would have been a nice momento. |

Someone did recommend a fifth of whiskey, a large pencil to bite down on, and a x-acto precision knife. Looks like Friday is scheduled for the removal of the tooth. I let the doctor know that it has a sentimental value and I will be keeping it . The Doctor also said please email me a picture of the fish so I can show my brother because he wont believe it.
K2, as for the casting hand, best thing I ever did was I trained myself to reel with both hands, so when one arm gets tired from twitching and reeling, I switch on over to the other. Took a while to get comfortable switching back and forth but now I am used to it.

| Glue the tooth to a picture of the fish and put it on the wall. Your grandkids will love it. |
