Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | The hatchet blade is unique in that if you do a "stutter"- stop & start during the retrieve the blade rotation will reverse and the blade thump significantly changes frequency. It won't reverse everytime, but with a little practice it's a not to difficult to do it on a consistant basis. Besides, the stutter can also trigger fish to eat it. Best place to practice reversing the rotation is a pool or a clear lake so you can see & feel what the lure is doing at the same time. It acually gives the lure two completely different thump/vibration profiles with the same cranking speed.
