Location: branchburg NJ | need to buy some new trebles for some lures. What kind would you recommend. Is there different hooks for diferent style baits. WHat brand and size i.e. 3/0,4/0 ect and 2x or 4x strong? |

| Every bait will be different - so having a variety of gap, shank and actual hook sizes is a good idea- I end up putting the old 8650 VMC 5/0's on the majority of baits... generally they work well on baits in the 7-10" range |

Location: oswego, il | It really depends on the bait. I like the short shank mustads on alot of baits but some baits need long shank hoos. I like the 5/0 long shank mustad for those purposes. |

| VMC O'shaugnessy 4X--you pick the size--generally 4/0 is a pretty universal size.
Tough as you can get them...I use them to put on our lures. We used to use Mustad 3/0--short shank, but we had some open up...not a good thing to have happen.

Location: musky waters , WI | Like mentioned before size depends on bait you are putting it on But good brands are VMC and the musky innovations plasma point as for strenght wise I personally go with 2x or stanard any more and they are tough to get a good sharp point filled on them |
