Location: Land of the Musky | I have actually had one order from Kuwait. Got prepaid and they also paid for FedEx Express shipping. The shipping was about 4x more than the lures. I was able to do a satellite address search and it was a monster house with a big pool in the back of the complex. emailed the guy to see what he was going to fish with the lures but never got a reply. Also have sent lures to Maldives island about 800 miles south of India. Those two are about the oddest places I have sent lures. Don't get me wrong, I won't send anything to Africa
I get the payment question about 2-4 times a week. They never reply back when I tell them PayPal is my credit card processor. I think PayPal has a few extra security measures in place. Online sales, good times! |

| What usually happens is that once the credit card has been processed they back charge it for being a stolen card. It might be a day, it might be ten, even a couple months.
I tie flies commercially, and had a large order for saltwater patterns, an order that would far exceed what I could have tied in a four month period. They wanted them shipped next day to Portugal if I recall. Red Flags started going off immediately, then the guy sent an email about wanting to wire the money, and this that, and another. You see some goofy stuff, that's for sure.
That said, I've sent $2500 packages to be drop shipped for pickup to a post office without having an actual address or box number. I send flies to AK in a similar manner, so that guys going up don't have to worry about their weight requirement, as everything counts.
Best advice, be very cautious. Request payment in verified format (cashier's check's can be drawn internationally depending on the amount), avoid single source credit card information, process through PayPal as James said. If they aren't willing to do those simple things, you're usually able to walk away from a deal knowing that you did the right thing. |

They do a lot of Deep sea fishing in the UAE. Lots of fish in the waters around their coast lines. Money is no object to people who live there. They are very very rich, and will spend a whole lot on anything! I have been there several times on business and its a cool place to visit. |

Location: Land of the Musky | Western Union is another good payment. Cash in hand then if its international. Just a minor pain to go get it.... |

Location: Oswego, IL | FYI If they do send a money order/check, call the bank listed on the check to verify its real, tooooo many copies and people make good fake's these days. Had guy trying to buy office supplies desks, computers, etc.... 10k sent the check, I called to verify before shipping, yup a complete fake! Also may want to be careful sending a big order of plastic to certain countries. If you now what I mean. |

| I had someone try and pull this crap on craigslist once. They said they sent a check and it was too much so they wanted me to send them back some cash. If you look back at the emails they had very broken english and when I told them they could pick the item up at my house and pay me there they left me alone. :0 |

Having been on the receiving end of a 3/0 Eagle Claw 774 I can understand how one might view lures as weapons, but no, I have absolutely no idea what you mean. |

Explosives also come in the form of plastics. So that is what I think he was getting at. |
