What do you guys think the girth of this 40 incher is? I didn't get a girth measurement and I wish I did, it has a bit fatter belly than most. Not the longest fish but is pretty fat.

Well it looks like from my computer to be about 3 inches measuring from the top of the back to the belly multiplied times 2 plus I added an inch. (LOL)

Very nice fish!!!

I don't even have a reasonable estimate to offer, but that is one very pretty fish, the colors and markings are incredible.

not sure about the girth, but wow is that a great looking fish pic.

I am sure you will or have caught a lot bigger, but I bet not many that are prettier.

A chunky 40 incher will have about an 18" girth, maybe 19". Usually a 40" fish will girth around 16 or 17". Nice healthy fish either way.

simply gorgeous fish! it's hard to tell the girth. It's a fat 40 incher. It would not be 20.. but between 16 and 18 for sure.

I got one recently I wish I would have girthed just for fun. Any guesses she was 47.25 inches long. I am guessing 22-23"

P.S. sorry about the bad pic it was a self taken photo

And that there is one pretty "TANK" of a fish, congrats! Just curious, is that a Cass fish?
