I found this stuff highly discounted and am wondering if anyone has used it and what they think?

Tournament GORE-TEX® Performance Shell Fishing Parka - Marine Blue

How does it compare to Guidewear and similar rain gear?

Who sells this stuff? Gander?

I've had the Guidewear for at least five years now and couldn't be happier. Yes the cost is significant, but I've never had a problem with mine, ever. Highly suggest the Guidewear for sure.

It's from Reeds, made by Stearns I believe. They have a deal where the coat and bibs are $199.

I'm going up to Gander after work to look at their stuff, apparently they have a sale going on right now, too. I'll probably go with either Cabela's Guidewear or Gander's stuff. Just wondering how the Tournament line compares. From the pics it doesn't look as heavy. Looks more like Gander's Tech H20 stuff.

I just got hodgeman at reeds for $150 bibs and parka. The bibs come up higher on my chest than normal ones. No leaks so far.

The Gander Tech2O will leak if your in some serious rain. Get the Gore Tex version, well worth the extra money.

I used the stuff from Sterns and in a lot of rain it leaked. I ended up buying cabela's guidewear and am happy with it but even the unlined is warm.

Have to agree with TJ and others, Cabelas Guidewear is the best. Know some guys that would probably say the same about Bass Pro Shops 100 mph raingear.

Also own the Guidewear Goretex from Gander. Only issues I have had is some of the velcro rubbing on the cuffs really wore it out, had to patch.

Do have a friend that owns the 100mph stuff from Bass Pro, loves it. One thing that I like is that the zipper and enclosure for the front of the bibs is connected all the way up your chest, meaning no water "leaking" in while your sitting (in heavy spray or rain when driving) making it look like you had yourself an accident. Would definately look at that stuff the next time.

For fishing, I don't think you can beat the Bass Pro Pro Qualifier. Built for fishing, it is cut in the armpits for casting, reinforced knees.
