Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The winds are howling on Leech Lake tonight out of the North West pushing waves up to three feet, but the weather is going to give the Muskie anglers a break tomorrow morning as the winds go to 5 to 10 out of the South East. Skies are to be mostly sunny with a high temperature of 72 degrees.
Reports are the Muskies have been going, but were shut down by the recent front a bit. Reports of multiple muskies boated by anglers on Leech Lake plus a 55" fish caught day before yesterday were looking good until a massive cool front moved through with high winds and rain. The bite should improve tomorrow as the winds shift.
Watch for evening interviews with the anglers to post soon. Morning interviews and an image gallery should go up by about 8 AM. The anglers will hit the water tomorrow morning at 7 AM and the live virtual weigh in will begin at about 4:30. The virtual weigh in MC'd by Jim Kalkofen will be streamed here, just look for the link tomorrow to watch the entire weigh in live.

Location: Illinois | Very illuminating-NOT.
I'm just kidding, good job boys! May you all be safe on the water and release safely many muskies! Look forward to hearing how participating in the "scale removal" study is/was and how your day tomorrow goes. |
