Any opinions on these? What ones are worth the money and which aren't

Interested in seeing the outcome of this thread as I just bought one Saturday. Cabelas had all of theirs on sale. I got a Guardian Tournament 3500. Was $149 and got it for $75. It may not be the best, but it is better than what I was using which was nothing. There, I said it. I was a no-lifejacket-wearing boater. NOt proud of it, it's just the way it was. So, it has to be better than that. My thought was, one that is worn, any one, is better than nothing.

I have the cabelas guardian as well, got it on clearance last christmas. Excellent vest, I tested it out to see how it works waaaaayyyyyy more inflation than I or my amused onlookers had anticipated. for 70- $75 I don't plan on looking any further for something else. If I were you I would get one with the auto/manual always good to have a back up and if that fails, you can blow it up via a "straw". Really great product!

This is actually the one i was looking at. I plan on making a Cabelas run tomorrow to pick up a few things. Sounds like the correct choice for me.
Thanks

Beware, as they have at least three models of Guardian vests. I saw some that were manual only, auto only and one that is auto that you can cap off to make manual. Even in each part number there were differences in the sewing and manufacturing, probably due to multiple factories located who knows where that are making them. In the end, the auto had a nice padded collar that didn't chafe the back of my neck. Several others didn't. Even in that style, some were sewed poorly and the collars were bunched. Dig through the rack and "select" one, don't just grab one. If it isn't comfortable, you won't want to want to wear it.

Gentlemen,

Do a search on keyword SOSPENDERS in the "Tackle & Equipment" section only back in June of last year.

I did up a large write up about these vests. Won't say good or bad but you need to be aware of what the company does and does not stand behind and what the products are made to do for you.

Good luck and good readin!
