HI,
I used suckers on a quick strike rig and did really well last fall. I am going on a 10 day musky fishing trip ton the UP of michigan and probably wont be able to find many musky suckers. I was wondering what other types of fish you can put on quick strike rigs and have a chance of a musky hittiing it. I was thinking perch?
i am going to attempt to catch som suckers in the river im fishing on but if that fails what othr types of fish work?

"Any fish (except lampreys, live carp, and goldfish) and frogs may be used as bait when legally taken and possessed." from michigan dnr website. im not transporting fish or anything. im going to catch the bait on the same lake/flowage im fishing on.

I know some smallmouth fisherman who would react as harshly to a smallie being used for bait as just about anybody here (including me) would react to keeping a "legal" musky...
