Subject: What else can you put on quick strike rig?





Location: Northern Wisconsin

HI,

I used suckers on a quick strike rig and did really well last fall. I am going on a 10 day musky fishing trip ton the UP of michigan and probably wont be able to find many musky suckers. I was wondering what other types of fish you can put on quick strike rigs and have a chance of a musky hittiing it. I was thinking perch? 

i am going to attempt to catch som suckers in the river im fishing on but if that fails what othr types of fish work?

Location: On Lake St Clair Michigan		SM Bass. They will fight and move very well with the musky nearby. I know the musky in LSC down here love the SM bass.

I think a Johnsonville brat would work if trolled slow enough.

Location: SW MI		Try Luckey's in Iron River and the first bait shop you see in Crystal Falls( I think it's called Dave's or DR's) they both have musky suckers.

Location: lake x...where the hell is it?		if you go with a guide he should know what they are eatting(bait fish or game fish) and then just catch some of them.

Location: Northern Wisconsin		ok thanks for the help. i dont really like to keep smallmouths so ill probably not use any for bait. ill definitely catch some perch tho and probably use a couple on a quick strike rig. im leaving tomorow morning so ill let u guys know how it goes 10 days from now

Anything you use would have to be of legal size (and it counts against your daily bag limit) Check your state/local regs.

On the hard water I run bluegills on tip ups for pike and tigers. (Catch a lot of monster largemouth on them as well
