Location: Antioch, IL | I like this post. I've always said I'd rather catch a FAT shorty than a long skinny. Here is a chunky 39" and a beefy 41". (I was really tired in the pic with the 41" )

Location: SE Wisconsin | All fish deserve respect, weather it's size-related, their colors/markings, the awesome fight they put up or just simply because they graced you with some action. After all, remember why we're considered Musky "Hunters", not catchers.
And if you think their "tiny", well, here's a stocker my buddy caught opening day, but I remember him thinking how cool of a fish it was because of the awesome markings and after the release he said something like, "Dude, I'm just happy to have slime on my hands."

Location: Smith Creek | So if you're fishing with someone new to the sport and they stick a chunky 39" you gonna tell them "wipe that smile off your face! That's small! I crap bigger than that! If I see a muskie under 45 inches I stop the bait or pull it out of the water"
Not everybody fishes near Detroit Lakes. |

Location: Detroit Lakes | No thats not the point I was trying to make. Im happy to net any fish. Its the chunky or fat thats in front of the fish that is kind of weird to me!!! I've never seen a fat or chunky 39 incher. They just cant hold a ton of stuff inside them like 6 pound suckers, mallards, loons, coots and whatever else they were hungary for. I know im not the only one thinking this!! |

Location: Antioch, IL | So by your logic. If a man is 250 lbs, but he is only 5'4" He is not beefy, chunky, fat or a pig. (I'm sure a lot of people wished you were correct, but anything that walk, crawls, flies or swims on this earth can be short AND fat. The girth to length ratio not the actual numbers is what determines chunky, beefy, husky (don't mean to bring back memories to those guys that shopped in the "husky" section as kids)
Here Brian, visual reference

Good Fishin'

| This goes against my better judgment, to both be getting involved in debates like this as well as posting pix. Two things I've vowed to never do again on these sites due to these types of "discussions."
But...here...take a look...you be the judge. Fat? Or not Fat? You decide.
