Location: Kodiak, AK | I had Bob make me a case for my boat, to fit my boat. I've got an area between my front deck and my center console. I sent him the dimensions and thought that was it. Nope, Bob has me call him because he's got 100 questions on how to make the box better for me...and he did. He had all kinds of ideas about how the lid was to open, the dividers, the handles, the D rings to secure the box to my boat, the rubber feet on the sides so the box didn't scuff my boat. He was out of control with all the ideas flowing.
He made it in just over a week and had it to my door. It fits perfectly, works great and is exactly what I was after. He even included a sheet of 3M clear non-skid for the top of the lid so I'm not slipping and sliding all over the place when it's wet.
The dog even likes it. Thanks Bob!

Location: Kodiak, AK | I think he prices custom boxes based on volume and dividers, but you'd have to ask him that for sure. This box in particular was to my door for $230. |

| what are the dimensions of the box? How many compartments are there? Looks like 40 to me. And, are all of the compartments the same size? Thanks. |

| I'm thinking a custom just encase box is on my christmas list. It would serve as a box and an extension of the front casting deck. |

That's exactly what mine's for. That's why it's only 13" tall; to match up with my front deck. But being shorter is good for the Dawgs-their tails don't hang and they don't stretch. |

Location: Kodiak, AK | LOL!!! I just got a PM from a guy who thinks this "infomercial" is a "pain in the ass" and asked me if I work with Just Encase. Ha, no, I don't work with Bob. Just a happy customer. I dunno...I thought supporting site sponsors was a good thing. |

Location: Michigan | Looks like a really sweet box to me! I can see one of these in my boat in the near future... The custom deal is awsome; you can adapt the box to the boat instead of the other way around... |

lol...in that case perhaps he should just not read this thread?
it doesn't matter if it's a site sponsor or not - if you find something good that you think would help other people, post about it!

Location: Ontario, Canada | Esoxfly, your case looks great, and a great idea for that spot. Thanks for taking the time to post it. I say this cause I've appreciated the product info, learned alot about products, and bought a few products cause of the pics, info, posted and talked about on this site over time.
Lambeau's statement is right on.
I agree with you esoxfly, Bob Schmitt puts a ton of effort into his cases. I first learned about them on this site and now I'm a happy customer. I have 3 of his cases, and very pleased with the service/product. IMHO. Al

LOL, I told him this is a muskie site and herein we talk about muskie gear, and told him just that; if he doesn't like it he shouldn't read it. I've now been informed by this gentleman that I should get a life! Maybe I'll get one....and put it in one of Bob's cases for safe keeping! LOL |

Thanks. And that's why I posted it- I first learned of his cases from seeing them here. Thought I might just pass along the favor to someone else. |

Sounds like some people need to go fishing more on the water and not the intarwebs. Just think if they'd done something useful with that time?
That box looks great, I keep thinking about contacting him to build a custom bait box under the front casting deck of my 690 with some fancy lids for easy accessibilty. But then I think i'd like to try myself, figure if I can't, there's always a fall back...heh! |
