I want to thank everyone involved in making this the best site on the web.
I've been blessed with meeting and fishing with some of the best people that I would have never known existed, had it not been for this site.
I've had a chance to win a couple of cool prizes from some of the contests that have been run.
I've attended many of the outings that have been offered.
Probably the best thing so far thought has been spending the last 4 1/2 days with baldeaglefisherman and being lucky enough to help him catch that elusive first muskie before he goes to basic training for the Marines.
I've got some really good friends from all over the country.
None of this would happened with out MuskieFirst.
Again, thanks!!!

Awesome to hear about you getting him out for his first ski! He would be hard pressed to find a better guy to fish with! I too have made many friends through this site, and had way too much fun on way too many outings thanks to MuskieFirst! I would like to say Thank You as well. Steve, Lambeau, Slamr, and all the guys who make this site what it is,

Thanks,

it's actually all of YOU who "make this site what it is", we just keep the doors open.

in the broadest sense, a community is a group of people interacting with each other - and that can take on a lot of different forms. our hope is for the MuskieFirst community to be a positive and inclusive muskie-focused place, but that depends almost entirely on the contributions that visitors bring to the site. so it's pretty cool to see all of the camaraderie, support, and good things like this happening.

That is awesome, looking forward to meeting you at the vermillion outing. Your character is demonstrated by your post and you seem to have reaped what you sowed. Winston Hopkins Big Gun

I agree!!

This site has officially become one of my "regulars" that I now visit daily. It seems I learn something new everytime I visit. =)

I am very impressed with the true story . I was finding myself imagining the events take place. I am also very impressed with the kindness of this musky man rich . In the world of the musky people tend to be very crud and somtimes insane in the professional side and in the recreational side. I have been lending my thoughts threw out p.a and giving people the chance to take part in this amazing sport.I am glad to see others do the same without thinking twice .It is a true sight to see a persons first musky and to be apart of it ,as Rich was. It is also a sort of drive to do it again for someone . It does not h ave to be a cut throat or sneaky sport greed is not the key, opening it up to others threw education and interduction is. I think that is the only way to help it grow and thrive and keep that adrenaline rush alive.

Yes, we too need to thank MuskieFirst. Due to a sleepless night and surfing the web, I found MuskieFirst one night right before Operation Muskie. Being a vet, I thought that was a great cause. We decided to bid on the Rich Whiteside trip, and had the great fortune of winning that. He was kind enough to spend a couple hours with my wife teaching her how to use a baitcaster prior to the trip. (She had only used spincast setups.) We have been out one day with Rich so far, and yes what a truly quality person and wealth of information on muskies. My wife has been bitten with the muskie bug and I wanted to see her get into a river muskie. Rich really worked to make that happen. She got a small one that day, and we are fortunate enough to have another day on the water with him. The information we learned made the trip more than worthwhile. I want to thank MuskieFirst for their support of the vets through Operation Muskie, and making the auction available so we can have some fun along the way.
