Location: Greenfield, WI | I took a new-be out for his first time baitcasting and muskie fishing, Saturday morning on Pewaukee. He caught a 30", which beat the biggest fish that he had ever caught by 4". He discovered camera shrinkage. The fish seems nice on the line and in the net, but once you see the picture the fish really looks small! He had one about 36" follow at least 10 figure 8's between 3 casts. It did everything but eat! We saw 6 others, but all small. It is always nice getting action for new-bees.
The water temp is still in the low 70's. That's incredible considering the normal temps at this time of year. |

Location: The desert | Nice job getting the rookie on a fish. I didn't fish at all. Nursing my sore back that I hurt in hockey on Thursday. |

Location: Northern Wisconsin | when i was 14 i used to think even my 24 inch pike and 30 inch muskies looked big in the pictures, but once i began searching the online forums and seeing all the huge muskys people catch i saw all my catches as small. i think the reason they look small in pictures is because we are so used to seeing other pictures where people have huge muskys, |

Location: Rhinelander | Five boats fishing Oneida and Vilas Friday afternoon and Saturday, 14 fish netted with numerous others spotted and a few lost. Two largest were 48" and 46.5" with also a nice 40" tiger.
Friday by far the better of the two days even with the reduced time fished vs. Saturday. |

| I had a great weekend. Saturday I fished from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The first three hours of fishing I never saw a thing. Then at 11:30 am I caught a 46.5 incher on a Super Model. Thirty minnutes later I caught a 42 inch Musky that hit the same Super Model in the figure 8. Raised one more fish the rest of the time. All fish came from 20+ feet of water. Sunday I didn't fish.
Today My Dad and I fished a river system. On my Dad's first cast of the morning he had a mid 30 incher hit and miss his topraider. We fished another 4 hours without seeing a fish and were about to quit when I caught a Huge 52 inch Musky on a Heli Dawg. My new Personal Best. After releasing the 52 we went home.
