I need a backup med duty reel and I was considering a Okuma Induron.
Any thoughts?

I've got a couple of the 250's and 400's, I'd sure recommend them. I throw everything from double 10's to the smallest of baits with both reels. Some of the better reels I've owned. I'd definitely say their worth a shot.

I have three Induron 400's. I also would recommend them. I fish almost every day using Pounders and Double 10's and 13's with these reels and have not had any major problems. And you can't beat the price. I would also recommend getting a power handle.

Ive had an induron 400 that has held up great since last fall. been using double 10s and 13s along with 11" curly sues and just about everything in between. gotten some decent size fish on it as well. I am getting ready to order another one.

It's a great reel for the price. I recommend it.

I've got two and they have been great reels now that they have the bugs worked out. Yes, I'd recommend them as well.

Yep......I have two of the 400's for salmon/musky and a 250 I use for steelhead........love em! There are heavier reels out there but not in this price range.

and also pretty important a great customer service (especially with Mark on the board here).
He helped me resolve a small issue and contact was great, and im a Euro guy so that says alot.

Great reels for the money. I guide here in Ontario and everyone who's used the ones I have gave them a A++ rating. I second the power handle idea as well though. I have 3 on the way for mine. Customer service is second to none.
