Location: Lebanon,Mo | Never had one,and found one worth the money but is it to high of a gear ratio for hard pulling baits,DCG,etc?? It's the 6.4:1 ratio I think.Any info would be appreciated about this specific reel.

| the 60 is 6.4 to 1.
I know some guys use the 50 (5.4 to 1) w/ power handle and say it works great. |

Location: Iowa Great Lakes | Last year I run blades on a Curado and worked ok, running a 60 Toro this year in the 5:3:1 and love it, would like to try the HS but waiting to make sure this one makes a season before buying a 2nd. I didn't like the power handles, and on the Toros theirs no difference in length, just a preference thing. |

| i have the high speed toro and it doesnt make it real easy to bring in blades but since its so fast you dont have to work that hard . |

I know some guys use the 50 (5.4 to 1) w/ power handle and say it works great.
Just for clarification, I believe that the 50 and 60 refer to the physcal size. I have the 60HS and it seems to work fine, but they also make a 60 in a lower/standard gear that might be a little easier on the internals. They are also coming out with a low gear ratio "winch" this fall I believe.

| Toros are available in 50 or 60 size in 6.4, 5.4, and now 4.6 gear ration in right hand and left hand in every size and gear ratio.
FYI the Winch's are shipping already, I know Rollie & Helens already has some of them. |

| i am leaning toward buying the larger sized winch. i was thinking the 5.4:1 ratio version would be a little tough to fish DCG's. Opinions??
Also - what size is best 50 or 60???

| Get the 60 - The 60 in 5.4:1 works just fine for DBL10's - unless you want to burn them....But none of the Toro's will be a good reel to burn 10's - but the 60 is an outstanding reel. So far it the best reel I've owned (Calcutta's and Luna's included) |
