Got my '02 70 horse Suzi in the shop right now, sputters at full throttle, bogs down for a second then runs right up to full rpm only to sputter and then bog down again. The Suzi doctor plugged it in, says there's nothing wrong with it, but he hasn't had it at full throttle either? Anybody have similar issues with a 4 stroke?

I wonder if you need to run a tank of sea foam through it to give it a good cleaning, especially if it hasn't been run much or winterized? Just a thought. Put a nice clean full tank of gas in her and give her the foam and run it hard to clean it out. Maybe a new set of plugs?

Possibly need to clean the fuel filter. They just had that problem with a motor at the resort I stayed at last week.

Suzi doctor says it has zero gas pressure at full throttle. He is blaming it on the fuel pressure regulator. 200$ in parts, 500$ in labor, I love being a boat owner!! Biggest Money Pit ever!!!!

I have an '01 that had that problem. Fortunately for me it was still under the 6 year warranty.
