Subject: Ranger 620 Top Speed


Anyone running a 620 with 250XS on it? Average top speed? Is the XS good on gas at half throttle? 250XS reliable?

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin		Low to mid 60's range depending on load. Yes, the 250 XS Opti Max is a reliable motor. I've run a couple, and 4000 RPM was the sweet spot for fuel economy.

Would you be very leary of buying one with a new powerhead put in it, with no warranty?

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin		Depends on the price, a new one costs over 17K. If the motor was cared for, no worries, have a Merc Opti tech plug it into the computer.
