| wow...that just made night fishing a whole helluva lot easier.
run the track during the day to make sure it's right where you want to be and it'll run itself for you fishing that night?
auto speed maintenance and gps autopilot to replace the compass-based one? sweet.
now if only they'd make the Terrova pedal wireless it would be the perfect trolling motor!

Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | Mike, you can get the co-pilot for the Terrova. Minn kota gave up on RC foot pedals, I'd like to see them make a comeback. |

| I can live with the Terovva foot petal having a cord but I sure would like to see the mput a sciccor style mount on it. It's kind of a PITA the way is deploys and is stowed. |

Location: Waukesha & Land O Lakes, WI | and that Terrova stow-deploy was supposed to be a selling point over the PD2. I'm not sold on that. |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | Until they can put the Maxxum deploy and stow on the Terrova, I'd never spend the money on one. If they can get that done, they've got something then, imho. |

| i actually like the Terrova stow/deploy, it's smooth and easy. mine has been very user-friendly. it's much easier than PD2's that i've seen or used on other other people's boats and it's smoother than the MotorGuide Wireless i ran the last couple years. it's also much lighter than the MotorGuide gator mounts i used before that.
i know i can get the co-pilot for it, but a hand control does me no good when i'm using both hands for casting. i want to be able to run the boat from the back without needing to have a long cord cluttering up the boat. the MotorGuide Wireless footpedal was great, and since MinnKota already uses wireless technology for their CoPilot you figure they'd at least offer it as an optional purchase.
i'm very impressed with the Terrova, very very impressed. i also like AutoPilot more than i thought i would. this iPilot addition sounds like it'll really take a great piece of equipment to the next level since it's adding features that aren't just some gee-whiz stuff, but rather they will translate directly into making fishing easier.

Location: madison wisconsin | The ipilot sounds great. Might get a little iffy to get used to. Something to think about for the future .I agree with lambeau, the auto pilot is an amazing thing, I'm very glad I spent the extra cash. Would never get one without it!!

| I agree that the Terovva stow and deploy is much better than the AP was but it's still not what it could be. |

| What I'm I missing here. I've been using Minn Kota's wireless foot petal for over a year now in my Riptide and it works great. You can use it in conjunction with the co-pilot control.
I use it mainly for the guy in the back. Just place it by the back seat and when I need to get down off the bow for anything, He just takes over.
I can't believe they would make one for the salt water models and not the Terrova.

Location: Twin Cities | Bump, so if you guys had $1200-$1500 to spend on a trolling motor right now, what would you get? Sounds like Blackie's riptide takes the cake, I wonder if it will be iPilot compatible, doesn't sound like it in the video...but in reading, if the wireless works with his riptide, it should work with terrova or v2...hmmm.
