With all the moonrise /set, sunrise /set, majors, minors having some (if not a lot) of effect on fish feeding and activity - how will the upcomming eclipse (Wednesday I think) effect fishing?

The eclipse on July 22nd is only visible in China and parts of the Southern Pacific Ocean, I don't think it will have any effect here.

I'm waiting for a solar eclipse, followed immediately by a lunar eclipse, followed by Hell freezing over, so I can get my first 50"er!

Not trying to sound like I know something that I don't know beans about....but I doubt that any of what happens is the result of a visible effect. Moon rise and moon set are often not someting that you notice. It would seem much more likely that the mass of the planets and stars involved create a magnetic force that is felt by creatures better suited to feelings in that area than we are. It's probably sort of like when I am in the mood and my wife is not--but that happens way too often for it to be lunar.

I would also assume because we cant see it doesnt mean it has no effect here. There is always effect.
