I recently on a trip found out that my bow nav light isnt working. I pulled the base off a looked at the wiring just to see if there were any noticable problems. I have three wires running to the base. My question to you pros out there is, do I need to buy another base that has three wires or can I switch to an atwood base that only has 2 wires. I am assuming that there is a + and a - wire as well as a ground. Just curious.

You will have to get a 3 wire base, or else it will not work.......I had the same problem.

Have you checked the bulb? My bow light wasn't working right away this year, and all it needed was a new bulb. Also, a volt meter can come in really handy to figure things out. My bow GPS also quit working this year. For some reason, one of the wires leading to the bow went bad, and there was no power getting to the GPS puck. You might not need to buy anything new besides a new bulb or some new wires.
