There's quite a few new registered users on board this summer and I'm getting all sorts of questions, so it's time again to brush over our features and posting permissions.

MuskieFIRST features:
1) Personal Blogs
2) Personal image galleries
3) Video Uploads of your favorite Muskie videos run from our servers in server side encoded h264 with no watermark. Simple to find and use embed/link capabilities.
4) Multiple forums covering specific topics
5) News and Articles
6) The Rick Lax Reproductions contest...win a free Rick Lax Reproduction of your 2009 Muskie 45" or better
7) Match Fishing
8) Outings to top Muskie destinations like Vermilion and Spring Bay resort, great deals on the lodging and amenities and tons of prizes, etc.
9) Winter online seminars
10) Interviews, both video and radio, informative, educational, and some just for fun
11) Coverage of what's up in the world of Muskie
12) Buy, Sell, trade forum, busy place, too
13) Classified ads
14) Information from your peers in the muskie world in answer to your questions about all things Muskie
15) Publish images and videos in your posts easily. Best size for images is 640X480. Best to only embed one video per thread, our system loads the video when the thread is opened and multiple videos in a single thread will really slow the process.

And much, much more.

We try very hard to keep this a friendly place to exchange stories, learn about what it takes to be more successful in your quest for a Muskie, and enjoy discussing the sport with Muskie anglers from across North America and Pike anglers around the world. We work hard to keep the boards free of:
1) Personal attacks or vendettas
2) Personal, company, or product bashing
3) Complaining just for the sake of complaining. Ask how to solve an issue or problem, and you'll get answers. Just complain, and it's likely your post will end up in the recycle bin
4) Belligerent and unfriendly behavior. Remember MuskieFIRST hosts a very large community, and we all need to be comfortable. If you are tempted by the 'behind the monitor keyboard bully' syndrome or anything like that, ask yourself if you'd say what you are about to post in a room full of folks just trying to enjoy discussing the sport. If your post sounds rude, mean, or against the permissions above, don't bother to email or PM as to why it was moved or zapped....that's obvious. Better yet, re-write it so it's not going to offend. Please...don't swear. Don't try to get past the foul language filter by spelling out foul language differently.

MuskieFIRST is a copyrighted publication and is moderated by several admin and managerial types, so don't assume it is any one person who zipped a mean spirited or otherwise unacceptable post. Please don't assume you are ever 'anonymous' here, you are not. Posting as a guest doesn't remove your responsibility to at least try to meet posting permissions, and doesn't hide your real ID. OutdoorsFIRST doesn't require registration as we understand some folks just don't want to register but most certainly will have questions and even more importantly, answers to questions to offer up, but if you want to experience all that MuskieFIRST has to offer, you will need to register and login.

It's fine to add a link to your website or favorite websites in your signature. If you are unsure what's OK in your signature, ask Slamr or lambeau via email or PM, or drop me an email at [email protected].

Add an avatar, but do not use obscene or unacceptable images. Please do not use an obscene name or phrase as a login ID.

PLEASE do not post in all caps, it appears you are shouting. Please do not use 'texting shortcuts' unnecessarily, we really would prefer not to have the board full of nearly indecipherable gibberish as all posts are archived for future reference.

Welcome aboard to all our new users, and we are delighted that our 'regulars' find this place somewhere they like to visit.
