I will be heading up to Amnicon lake in douglas county WI. Any suggestions on what to use? Any hot baits or any suggestions or tips on fishing this lake would be greatly appreciated.

It's a very easy lake to fish. There's plenty of weeds/weedlines, and a few humps and reefs in open water. Gliders, Bucktails and top water work, size of the fish is generally on the small side

Fun lake to bring a first timer to....your sure to get action. I've caught many muskies out of there but the biggest is only 38", but there are a lot of mid 30's in there. It's common to have multiple fish days if the conditions are good. Twice last year we had 4 fish days. Not all weedbeds seem to hold fish though. The best ones are behind the island in that bay and by the point with the brown boathouse and in front of the bar\campground going towards the launch. Best color i've had luck with is black and orange.

Good Luck
