I've got a question about how the canpass/rabc works. I'm heading up to LOTW in a couple of weeks. I understand that I won't have to call in every day when travelling from Oak Island across the border. The question is will I have to call at Jim's corner or at the inlet? Or does the permit exempt you from these locations? I'd really like to avoid the biting flies at Jim's Corner if possible. Thanks.

You will need to call from Jim's corner or Young's Bay to the US customs when you first get to the Angle (you went through Canada and reentered the US, and need to report in). You are then O.K. to go to a U.S, resort on Oak Island.

If you have a RABC and every one in the boat does, you can enter Canada without calling Canada costums. If you don't then it's required to call in every day from an OARS phone (this isn't as bad as it sounds).

When you leave the Angle and you have a RABC, you don't have to call Canada Customs and report in. If you don't have a RABC, you will need to stop at Jim's corner and call Canada customs.

Any futher questions send me a PM.
