I'm looking for a quieter walk the dog topwater (non Weagle like). I like my jackpot but it sits too high in the water and was looking at getting a Fish Stick, Maas marauder or a Phat boy. Opinions or suggestions please.

I believe the Phat Daddy would fit into that group a little better than the Phat Boy. The Fish Stick and Phat Daddy are both nice baits. Between those two, I believe the Fish Stick will ride just a bit lower in the water.

I'd go Fish Stick. One of the first (might even be the first?) to have 3 hooks on a WTD bait.........Hooking % goes up with that 3rd hook.
They sit a little higher in the water making them easier to work in waves/easier to work a little faster, but still heavy enough not to jump out of the water constantly . Should fit what your looking for.
Personaly I get the fish stick HD, as thats the one we've had the most action on this year. (saw a few other boats this year have blowups/ fish hit them in front of me too.)

Good luck

Fish stick all the way, works well in both flat and wavy waters. Plus as bomber says 3 hooks is a plus.

Well I have at least 9 manufactures WTD baits - and the Maas sees the LEAST time for me - it is too bouyant for my taste...give it a hard jerk and watch it jump a foot out of the water.

The Maas Mas Marauder looks pretty cool, but honestly have not yet tried it. I can say that the Fish stick, like all of the Lee Lures line are very nicely designed and made. Top quality lures.

I would agree with the havana jackpot idea...so far this year I have caught 7 fish on one havana jackpot...I love mine...

I have never used the fish stick but have used the Maas and phat boy. Out of the Maas and phat boy I would go with the phat boy. I am sure the fish stick is a quality lure being from lee lures. The mania doc is also a good quiet choice. It has a very deep knock with not much water splash. I would upsize the front treble though. I bought an all black last fall and it is now mostly white.lol

Errr, don't give it a hard jerk then! Do you complain when mantas catch the leader if you give them a hard jerk too? What about a suick? Rubbish aren't they? I gave it a little tap and it barely went under the surface.
