Location: Downers Grove, IL | Heading up to Witch Bay at the end of July and was wondering of any nice musky shops I can hit along the beaten path that will take me up through Eau Claire, Duluth, Intl Falls...?
Need to do my part to stimulate the local economy a little along the way.

| if you went through the cities there are many like thorne bros or blue ribbon. im sure if you did a search on the net you could find some shops in some of those cities on your way up.

Location: Downers Grove, IL | Mouldy's I believe is in Eau Claire. Also, Crazy D's (715-874-6996) is about 5 minutes off 94 just west of Eau Claire in Elk Mound, WI.

| There's a place on the shores of Lake Shabonna in Dekalb county (probably not too far out of your way) that has a pretty decent selection of muskie tackle. I also hear they have great burgers...even better than Burger King. |

| If Ron and Amy aren't the best two people in the buisness I don't know who is. You must stop at Crazy "D" is the best by far. |

Location: Minnesota | Marine General in Duluth has a decent selection of musky stuff. I don't think there is anything in I-Falls with a musky selection. |

Location: oswego, il | I seen a few places along 53 north of rice lake and south of duluth, I suppose those might be worth checking out. Another neat place, it is kind of like a farm and fleet about 1/2 mile west on rt 169 in virginia, mn on the north side of the road. They have boat stuff there too.
Eat at the sawmill just south of 169 on rt 53 in virginia.
One place I have been looking for is a bar restaurant on old 53 in one of the towns between bloomer and solon springs but I do not remember where it is. It had a ton of fish mounts, including an 8lb brook trout and ther state record pike in a glass case among a ton of other mounts. We used to eat there on the way up and or back going to canada when i was a kid. Now that the "new" 4 lane 53 does not go through the towns, I do not rememeber which one it is or was in. |

Location: Eau Claire, WI | Mouldy's is just off HWY 53 in Hallie by the Wal Mart. Great place to get mouldy's baits. everyone needs some.
Crazy D's is a friggin candy store. However, the hours are not consistent so if you plan to stop you should call a few days ahead to make sure. I think they are open every day around 7 am for a few hours though. From their website:

Location: Oswego, IL | I wouldnt rely on grabbing baits on the way, I would order them ahead of time, know what you want and get it now. Too many lures in your face could hurt the eyes anyways :). Next thing you know you walk out of that store and 3 hours went by, and have another 5-12 hours ahead of you. Best thing, grab your baits now, stay up all night before you leave, and then sleep while others are doing the crap work (Driving):) |
