| I have seen a number of threads (most recently a thread on the Krisco) where guys are asking about a straight version for casters. Is there a reason that jointed baits aren't preferred for twitching or retrieving? I have had some luck twitching a jointed lure and am surprised when people talk about this. Just curious what makes those who feel they aren't a good casting lure think that way.

| I've noticed that straight lures are much more erratic when you use them as twitch baits. But by no means is a jointed lure take second to a straight they also have their time and place. |

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | The one nice thing I love about most straight is they either back out of the weeds, or rip through them better. The caboose on the jointed tends to get hung up more. |
