Location: Hopefully on the water | With the latest picture of the personal best (which was huge and congrats to) it got me thinking to hear what some people's best's are and what the magic mark is for each of you to get a replica of? My personal best is a 46" 2 years ago in Sawyer county on a Double cowgirl. Brother in-law caught the same fish a year before in almost the same spot. My magic mark for a replica is 45" for a tiger and 48 for any other muskie. Hope to get my own mount this summer. Just something I was thinking about and look forward to reading about other accomplishments. Good luck fishing to everyone this year. May there be many personal best grace the net this season. |

| PB is 52" for me. Don't know what size it would have to be to get a replica, probably 54 or 55. I do have a 47.5" that I want to get a replica for though because of the way that it hit my topwater. It came flying up out of the water like a missile completely missing my lure. It flipped around mid air and somehow grabbed it on its way back down. It's going to be an expensive mount though since the idea that I have for it is going to have to have the fish double sided. |

Location: beloit | my pb is 40" that I got last september on a cowgirl. this is my 4th year muskie fishing so I am still kinda new to it, I've only caught 7 muskie and 3 have been this year 35" 36 1/2" and a 39". I have no idea how big of a fish it would need to be to get a replica done. |

Location: Lockport, IL | If you use the search tool you will find some older posts that are very similar and enjoyable to read. At the time of one of the older posts I said that 46" was my personal best and my first legal at the time and I my parents got me a replica of the fish. I said that if I got one over 48" I would consider getting another and when I got my current PB of 49" last fall I did just that. In fact, Lax will probably have the fish done next month. Hopefully I can get that 50 up at the Big V the last week of July this year. I will be holding out for a 50 now before I ever get another replica, unless I catch a ridiculously large Pike or Tiger.

Caught it on a Joe Bucher Topwater Slopmaster Buzzbait. Bullfrog/Nickel color combo. It was probably the most exhilirating catch of my life. I don't think I'll ever forget how nonchalantly I was reeling the lure in... when out of the blue this enormous mouth came out of the water and scared the absolute crap out of me. It completely inhaled the entire buzzbait. |

Got a rep of a 51'' From Eagle.
One of my goals in my fishing career is to get a legal on Eagle, that would have to be 54+ and I would order a rep as soon as I got home. |

| A 48 " Last year which also included my first double with a smaller 42 " fish that day. I don't know If Id have a replica (50 "plus) or just enjoy an enlarged photo on the wall. Hopefully soon I'll have to make that decision. |

No magic mark for a repro for me. As long as I have a camera in the boat, I will continue to take pictures and get 8x10's made out of quality fish. A quality fish might be a 44"er, if it's fat and wide and doesn't have a mark on it. |

My son has a replica for one of his 52" muskies and one of his King Salmon from the Kenai. I just never got the urge. I've caught lots of fish over 50" but I think it would take a 50 lb. fish for me to even consider it. I've seen some beautiful replicas, but I like the pictures. I have a whole wall of photos in my office at home. My fish, my son's, grandson's, friends, etc. I love looking at those. |

Location: Southern Ontario, Detroit River and Lake StClair | My PB is a 54 7/8" caught September 23rd 1989. Got it on a Firetiger Magnum Long "A" Bomber trolling in Lake StClair. It was a very skinny fish though and barely made the 33lb mark. Somewhere during my divorce the pictures of it disappeared so I currently take a 54 1/4" boated June 18th 2006 as my PB, I have pictures of that one. It was alot nicer fish aswell just barely tapping the 40lb mark. It was also caught of Lake StClair while trolling a custom made 3oz Silver/Black spinner bait. My 16yr yr old son and steady fishing partner turned his PB last Summer with a 51 1/4" fish while casting a Walleye Depth Raider on August 16th in LakeStClair and my 13yr old son turned his PB November 14th last fall with a 47 1/2" fish while trolling a 13" Firetiger Believer on the Detroit River.

| 47" for me.caught it last october during the spring bay outing on a dunwright 12 inch lifelike pike on the last cast of the night.my partner gave up as we had made uncountable casts to a point where we had seen several good fish that day. it was cold,windy and very dark.he dropped his rod to the deck cussing them stubborn sob's, i said ok i give in and called"one more cast",chucked the pike out and got on the retreive with 3 feet of line out.he thought i was joking when i hollered get the friggin' net i got a good one!of course the net was hung up on the drivers seat pedastal,i hadn't gotten any head lights out plus the boat was trashed from a full day of fishin' but it wasn't that fishes day and we somehow rodeo'd him on board.hoping for the 50 mark on wabigoon in 2 weeks. |

| PB is a 50.5. I'd never get a replica as I could never really justify the cost in relation to my current financial status. I do know of a great company that can print me a poster size photo for about $10.00, so I've got that in my back pocket for when I get another 50+ fish. Maybe 2 weeks from now on LOTW?  |

If I won a replica in the Lax contest, that would be aweome, but I don't think I'll pay for one any time soon. I do have a couple fish I would like to get 8x10's of though.

As for when to get a replica? I'd say anything over 52" for sure, but it would depend on the fish. I've seen some fish that were so skinny and beat up that if they were 52" I might just be happy with a picture. I've seen others in the 48" range that were just perfect, and fat, nice markings... A 48" Tiger would be nice. |

| 42" from wbl. It was my first time on wbl, caught it on gerry girl as it arrived in mail on same day before I left to wbl.it also was my first night fish. It Hit like sunfish but fought like champs by boatside with multipile death rolls.
Sworall do u have pics of that 56.5 replica? |

Location: Janesville | My personal best is fron Leech lake and is 50.25 inches and my biggest from wisconsin is 49.5 i have caught 6 of them that size just can not get that 50 incher in wisconsin I will some yearas i hanve lost some over 50 in wisconsin. I have a 35 pound 48 incher that died on me 12 years ago from Lake tomahawk on my wall and a 49 inch replica out of chippewa flowage that I won at the musky festival. |

I am out looking for a reef in a small lake, and I throw a depthraider because we dont have sonar on that boat... I throw a cast and my brother says throw over there (in the opposite direction) I do and 2nd rip down I hit something huge... I set the hooks and fight it to the boat... Phil (my bro) does a perfect net job on it as soon as it pauses to dive. I get help to lift it outa the net and then have help to hold it up. He snaps 3 pics, and its perfect. there is a replica sitting on the wall in my room, and If i ever get another one that size then I am truly a blessed man. If i get a bigger one then I may need another replica. |
