In the summer I use my Ranger 620 for skiing, tubing and kneeboarding (hopefully I will get a wakeboard soon). I currently tie to the hooks on the transom, but do not like the pull angle, it is too low. Has anyone added a pylon that they either like or don't. I have used the swivel eze ski-tow bar on my previous boat, it was fine, but just wondered if there was anything better. I would like some opinions.

I just read about this over on another boating site; a guy tried a pylon on his Ranger and tore the back deck off. I don't remember if it was an older one or not, but he had pics of it and the whole top of the back deck was gone. Then another guys said he does it with his BassCat all the time, and they actually make a mounting bracket for a pylon.

Attaching it to the deck would be a bad idea. I would either attach it to the floor or the rim of the well (if it is reinforced). That is where it was on my triton.

What boating site did you see it on. PM me if you don't want to 'advertise' it.
