| Has anyone fished Cedar Lake in Scott County? I live relatively close to Cedar, so I have gone muskie fishing there a few times and have not had any luck. It seems to be a very weedy lake and I wonder if it is worth fishing there. |

Location: Minnesota | I fish there every so often, I usually throw spinner baits on the outside edges. Last year I caught two off the rock pile straight out from the landing. (40.25 and 43 inches) Fishing bass out there can also be a real blast. |

Location: minocqua, wi. | wow. lived on cedar as a kid and can still picture all the old spots. i lived on the south shoreline which is around the point from the landing (which used to be known as bullhead bay). our bay was always the one that was kept open with an aeriator. that lake got so full of algae from fertilizer runoff that it got blue and not green. we did manage to have fun on it growing up and caught some nice fish out of it (walleyes, pike and crappies back then). the area of the old landing was always good for pike ... and around the point and down our shorline were favorites of mine ... more rock and deeper (relatively speaking) water there. would love to see some cedar lake tiger pics if anyone would please post some! |

Location: minocqua, wi. | awesome ... thanks! ... there was a memorable pike we caught and released without measuring. recollection tells me it was slightly bigger than 40". i would imagine that spot would be a place where the bigger tigers live and from the look of your picture it looks like you are in that general area. those photos are beauties and tell me i need to go back and get on that lake again. we moved from there in 1986 which is right around the time they started the program i think.
when it was healthy >>> meaning the aeration working well, it grew stock class walleyes to the 10lb. level too.
thanks for posting those great pics!! |

Location: Minneapolis | Nice tigers! Lots bigger than most in the Minneapolis lakes. I know, I know, the state record came out of Calhoun once upon a time, but it's a lot easier to find a 50" pure strain than a 41" tiger in Calhoun. |

| we've boated a number of fish in the 40"-42" range so far, had 1 follow that I would bet was 46" +/-. It's hard to beat the fight in 40+ tiger. |
