It was hot.
The fishing was not.
One 36.5 for the entire League tonight, but dead calm and 94 degrees might have had something to do with that. | |

| Did you happen to check the water temps while you were out Steve? The early half of June was pretty cool, and so were the water temps. And the bite was slow.
Now we're into this really hot weather pattern, and I'm wondering how quick the water temps have come up. It's been like mid August out there lately.
Depending on water clarity, I've usually gotten less hits when it's hot and totally sunny, if the water is much over 75. But...fish don't always play by any 'rules'. | |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Temps in undisturbed calm areas were as much as 83, but if you dropped the lure down a bit, and not much, it came up feeling almost cold. I'd say actual temps down a couple feet were around 71. | |
