Location: MN | Has anyone ever heard of boat trailers being stolen at boat landings? I was thinking that it wouldn't take much for somebody to drive up, take my trailer off the hitch, put it on their hitch and off they go. Do any of you lock your trailers when out on the lake?

| i use a trailer lock kit by MasterLock, you can pick it up at Wally World for like $25 or so.
locking receiver hitch pin and boat trailer pin with matching locks so only one key.

| If you are really concerned about having your trailer stolen don't forget to tac weld the nut holding your ball onto the hitch. I have heard of people having there hitch locked and there hitch pin locked and the thief unscrewed the nut from the hitch and put the ball on his hitch, hooked it up to his truck and drove away with a boat and trailer.
I can't imagine getting back to the landing and having no trailer on my truck. What would you do?
