Hello Muskie Anglers,
I'm new to site and want to involed into Musky Fishing very soon but i dont have any of musky fishing gears yet... I been figure out what rods, reels i would like to buy very soon.. i been curious about good reasonable price on okuma musky rods for almost a year and couldnt figure but somethings that i notice that okuma remove some of rods that show 8 ft heavy action and lure weight 1-8 oz and some of other rods.
well i'm trying to find 3 or 4 musky rods that i would like to get for a casting out with all purpose for my starter musky fishing. what should i get ?
i do like to casting a long rod like 8 footer or 8 1/2 footer for anythings inlcude pounder, bucktails, crankbait, topwater
can u help me out with what rods i would buy but i will not worry about buy a short rod for heavy jerkbait til later. some of guys i talk to say need use power crank reel for hard pull as DC-10 i wonder what do the okuma make on reel ?
give me a recommend on rod/reel
Thanks

Yikes, honestly you just stirred the pot. You will have a lot, maybe to much different suggestions as most is all personal prefference. I would go to a shop, pick stuff up and feel it out in the store. Remember you will be casting the entire time, unless you troll or use suckers. Get ready to spend money and have 1000 different suggestions! good luck! One suggestion that should be the same, GET THE PROPER CATCH AND RELEASE TOOLS FIRST!
