Anybody ever have problems with the nut on the power handle stripping out. I though I would try one out, bought 1, 2 weeks ago and on the 3 day of fishing with it the handle became loose. Well the nut wont tighten down (its striped) just wondering if this is a common thing I threw a lot of Big 10. I will be returning it tomorow they deal them where I live at so getting a new one or getting it fixed is not a problem just frustrating. Also anybody ever use the st. Croix reels I have seen them in Rollie and Hellens does anybody know what kind of warranty are on them!!!

SC reels are the same as the Luna, with a few modifications (bearings) one year warranty but they can always fix em if anything goes wrong.

I had a similar problem. Handle came off, went to examine the problem and a spring in the drag system sent pieces of gold parts sinking slowly toward the bottom. Rendered the reel useless the rest of the trip. I was in Canada and did not have a back up reel. Lesson learned the hard Way: you get what you pay for, always have a back up pla. BG

I just sent a CT200 back to Tica for the same thing. I have two others that work fine but I think I wil be replacing these reels after this season. They are not my favorite. No matter what I do I always seem to be digging out a birds nest with these reels, and they dont really cast that far to begin with. I might just go back to the Abu's after this year.
