Location: Iowa | Anyone ever have an M-9 grandma break in half...like literally into two pieces...I had my favorite one, if not the favorite bait in my box break in half right at the head...the only thing holding it together is the piece of holoform tape on one side of the bait...lip fell out, couldn't even repair it if I wanted too...will post pictures soon...

Can't say that I've ever had that happen. But what caused that? Sucks that it was one of your favorite baits, to boot!

Location: In the slop! | Perc, I lost my favorite Grandma that way last summer. Smash them off of enough rocks and eventually the plastic fatigues and they break. |

Location: Hayward, WI | They weren't made with through wire eh? Are the new Grandmas made with a through wire system? Tough luck on the broken bait Perc.

Location: beloit | I have seen that once, I was with a guide and he snagged a shad. he decided to slap the bait on the water to get the shad off and it broke right behind the lip. he was saying that was one of his favorite baits to, oops |

Location: Ontario | I've had the lips fall completely out of three, count 'em three, nine inch Grandmas. Two of their holoforms I bought had the entire sticker peel off in sheets within 2 trips also. I can take a ten inch Jake out of the box, and fish it with no issues for years on end. Guess I've just had better luck with Jakes and quality. My personal experience is that the nine inchers are poorly built. Funny, because the 13's ( in holoform too) are as tough and productive a trolling bait as we use, every bit as good as a Jake. Grandmas have good mojo though..no rattles, deeper running. If you can get one that lasts, it'll be a good bait. My buddy got a 10lb walleye trolling one one night last fall, fish do eat them. |

| The "ORIGINAL" M-9's were made by Jake Satonica and were bulletproof. The pic you showed is an M-9 made by Magna Strike after they bought Grandma Lures. Junk as you've seen. An easy way to tell the Magna Strike stuff is the entire body is molded, including the eye. The older M-9's had a "cat eye"(black pupil) or even older yet, a decal. |

| I had one issue with a lip on a grandma bait and called the company and they wanted it back to determine if they had a production problem etc. I sent it back and got a new bait no problem. They are a great company in my book. Always stand behind the product , good people and treat our MI chapter good.
