I have a Trinidad 14 right now and have been happy with it. I am thinking about adding another Trinidad and am looking at both the 12 for the small size and the 16N because of the faster speed. What would everyone recommend?

PikeMaster...it has 48" at a FULL spool..have you tested yours to see how many inches it is bringing in? If you do have a full 48" the way you have it spooled I imagine your arm will look like Popeyes...
I have a 16N that I have filled about 3/4 full...I measured the pickup at about 33" and that to me is perfect for ease of use and still being able to kick it down when needed...far faster than conventional, 975/ TE type reels...

bn NO I have not tested to see how much the line pickup is. I have my filled with 100# braid and about a little over 3/4 full, I try to keep the line very tight on the spool, I only use it for DCG10-13. I'm surprize that it is only around 33", boy will it burn a DCG10-13 !!!! I make alot of my DCG10-13 and have to add weight to the bucktail to keep them down with this reel. I see that SHIMANO rates it at 46" not 48"

you are probably bringing in the same amount of line as I am...32-34...
plenty fast...
if you fill it full it actually is a b*tch to reel and doesn't spool as well...
