| Hi guys. I bought the large all black pacemaker made out of plastic last year. I only used it a couple of times and the paint just started coming off of it for reasons unknown. Never had a fish hit it or anything. It is now almost half white and half black. Probably only thrown 50-75 casts with it. I'm certainly not bashing this bait by any means, as I think it sounds great and I know people have caught some nice fish on these baits. I also hear often that the old wood pacemakers are better, but I've never owned a wood one? As a topwater bait, I know color doesn't matter much, but kind of odd paint would just fall off. Any of you heard of this or have it happen yourself? thanks

It sounds like you probably got one of the first plastic ones. They had some issues with the paint on the first batch of baits. Get a hold of Ty and he'll take care of you. I haven't been hearing of any paint issues like that on any of the newer ones.
