Taking the boys up to Newton for some more chances at tigers. If the weather cooperates (forecast is for 50% chance t-storms in the afternoon) and the wind is favorable, I'll probably give it another shot w/ the fly rod. One of the hosts for a local outdoor show is going to be up there w/ camera. If the chance presents itself, we'll do a little spot on proper C & R. If I go anywhere else for the weekend, it will probably be early mornings at Pineview.
Four day work weeks are pretty deluxe...

Finally it's here! I will be hitting Minnetonka hard this weekend. Time to start 'breaking rocks all day.'
Goodbye sleep, goodbye clean clothes, nice talking with you non-muskie friends, I am gonna miss my girlfriend BUT HELLO MUSKIES.

Home waters for me, FINALLY!! Last 2 casts of 2008 produced a 50 & 51...so the first 2 casts of 2009 (in MN anyhow) should produce a 52 & 53!! Isn't that the way it works?!?!

i'm heading over to the Park Rapids area in MN as well, fishing Saturday - Tuesday morning. i've never been up there for opener, so that'll be a new experience compared to the mid-summer patterns. give a wave if you see us out there in the Tuffy!

Have a wedding in shumburg with open bar from 8pm-3am. I'm guessing i'll be in no shape to fish. Spent most of day on waubesa, didn't raised a walleye and pike... Completely ignored by muskies. For you guys fishing the chain, waubesa is experiencing it's first algae bloom of the season, some spots are pretty gross.

3 Lakes Chain. When the WMT boats hit the water they will see me on my way in for breakfast. When they are done for the day I will go out for the evening bite.
