| Does anyone know if it's possible to get the levelwind to move on freespool like on bigger reels? I have a Okuma Induron 250 and the only thing i don't like is that the levelwind doesn't move on the cast. I've never really had any problems in the past but now I am having some backlash issues when the levelwind is all the way to one side when i cast. I've always used power pro on it.
Can they be modified somehow?

Location: Oswego, IL | I dont get it, levelwind I thought does the work, whats the point if you still have to manually move it back and forth with your thumb? Also if thats the case, you would have to start it in the middle, but all that sounds messed up. | |

Location: Right behind you (tap, tap) BOOO | I have an Abu 5600 Morrum that is the same way, and had the same problem. The only to fix it is through redesign. I ended up just living with it, and it worked out the best if I paid a little attention to where the levelwind was when i was done with the retrieve. Took a little while to get used to, now I don't use the reel to much anymore but when I do pick it up I know to look at it on the end of the retrieve.
