| The net light didn't interest me much either.
Are these directly related to the Glowin' Strips? However, glowin strips seem like they would have a couple handier uses. |

| i've got one on my net, and i think it's a nice tool.
it won't replace headlamps, rather it will _assist_ by providing more light specifically at the right spot when netting a fish.
it's not an earth-shattering idea, but it IS a good idea, and Mike is smart to bring it to market. for the very low cost, it's well worth it.

Well, they both emit light if that's what you mean by "related", but.. as far as I can tell they are two completely different products with different uses made by two different people.

Location: lake x...where the hell is it? | the light ideal is notthing new, i put a old headlamp on my net last year. its adjustable so i could aim it where i needed it. mine is waterproof, is mikes? |

Location: lansing, il | the net light is a very handy tool if you do any type of fishing after dark. musky, walleye, salmon, cats etc. once you start using it you will realize how nice it is, and probablly wont go nite fishing without one ever again. the light was designed by mike hulbert and made for him by musky armor. the glowin outdoors strips are a totally differnt company. no relation with the exception of the fact that you can get both products during show season at mikes booth. both products are must have for me when fishing after dark. I dont know if they are sold as "100% waterproof" but mine has been dunked under a few times as well as sat out in a few spring storms this year and it works just fine. |

| Go to gander and get a mini maglight on sale for fathers day $1.99 zip tie it to the net takes 15 seconds and put on two strips of electrical it is waterproof and last a lifetime and small. It is plenty of light. |

That's what what many were doing but when you want to slide the handle back into place for storage you have to cut the tape or what ever you use. Like others said it's not earth shattering but it adds a lot of convenience and no hassle of taping a light every time you go out fishing. |

| Lost a low 40'' fish last night when my partner went to scoop the fish and shined the light right in er eyes....she went nutz and shook off.... that light will never see my net again. |

Perhaps turning the light on before netting the fish, not right before your ready to scoop her in, just a suggestion. |

| As a capitalist, I'm glad to see they have a new product out that some people will find useful.
I've been using glow tape that is marketed for salmon lure making for some time. I put a strip at each corner of my net, and one in the center. That and a headlamp has done me well. Plus I'm a tightwad, I hate buying batteries! |

Location: lansing, il | just an fyi on the battery life. 3 triple a batteries lasted a full season of use, on this silly net light, and all the way thru the show season with the same light on our display net handle. so they dont eat up batteries at all. the silly thing works pretty good. |
