| Everybody talks and hunts with the Pounder Bulldawgs. There is just one thing about this bait, how can you fish it shallow??? The mag dawg has a ''shallow'' version that I can pull above shallow weeds and rocks and stuff, but what about the pounders?
I want to use this bait shallow! But how? |

| if you start working it right as it hits the water you can keep them preatty shallow you have to work them kind of fast though

| Yes, work it fast and keep your rod tip high! I have already lost my brand new pounder to a log on the bottom of the Wisconisin River. |

Another thing, I thought that just the regular Mag Dawg was 12". Isn't the Pounder alot bigger than the 11'' inch curly sue? |

Location: Ft. Wayne, Indiana | The 11" Curly Sue is just a tad smaller than a pounder. But they can be worked much shallower, especially if you get the shallow version. Give them a try, I don't think you will be disappointed. |

| Well then isn't that kinda the same as fishing the Shallow Mag Bulldawg. The 11'' Sue is just too small.

Location: Grand Rapids MN | The 11" Curly Sue is much larger profile than a Mag Dawg. I have a standard 11" and if I work it fast I can keep it fairly shallow. I can bust out the camera and email a pick of the two side by side for comparision if you like. I personally like the size of the curly sue. It's a big bait but I can still actually fish it! My XH bull dawg rod throws it nicely.

Too small? The 11" Curly Sue is almost the same size as the pounder. About a 1" difference... Oh no! not 1"!
The 11" Curly Sue quickly became my go to spring, post frontal lure... worked as fast and erratic as you can without passing out.

Location: Hayward, WI | Yep, the Pounders are bigger than the 11" Sues, but the 11" Sues are bigger than Mag Dawgs for sure. Never tried the shallow versions but they sound like the ticket for shallow stuff.
