Location: Antioch, IL | Hottest bait, best color, favorite this, favorite that,..not trying to be a jerk, but I don't get it. Everyday there are at least 3 or 4 posts on here about what's you favorite bucktail, favorite glide bait, etc..If you only spend a small amount of time reading about muskie fishing (magazines, internet, books) you can pretty much answer all of these questions through deductive reasoning. Maybe I'm wrong (there is a first time for everything), but I think we should focus more attention on the important favorites....I am now attempting to hijack this post with an important favorite.
(On your home body of water) Where is the best place to grab a bite to eat & a beverage.
MINE: Fox Chain O' Lakes - 1.) The Thirsty Turtle (Channel Lake) - Great Cajun Burger, onion rings
2.) (If your are more interested in eye candy and over priced drinks - Blarney's Island
or if you prefer... What is your favorite color of underwear.
Mine: Racing stripes |

| Hey, if you are not in an event that prohibits it, and you are not on water that has warmed up too much yet--don't count out the lowly sucker. Most guys save their sucker fishing for the fall trophy runs but I have six legals on suckers so far this spring and have no shame about having done so. Marty Forman |

I used to love the fried walleye at Steitz's. Then the health department closed down their kitchen. That put a dent in my opinion.
Famous Freddie's is cheap and good, but you have to travel through some nasty traffic to get there if you are on the northern lakes. |

| The Jimmy in Indiana has been sweet! The bite has not been easy but it seems to be one of those baits that just makes them move despite the tough fishing |

NICE ONE!! He kinda does! Great, now every time I go there I'll be thinking of that creepy little hand touching my food.
I've had a really good pork chop sandwich at Steitz's and I've had a really bad one. |

| "Jerk the Jimmy"......Hahahahahahahahaha.I think I read somewhere that the female muskies like them "finessed". LOL X 10,000. |

| Haha Steve... I jerk my jimmy with a little finesse here and there but the big muskies definitely enjoy a more erratic approach. |

| By far the hottest bait this year has got to be the Medussa. I was down on Cave Run last weekend and it seems like everyone, Greg Thomas, Tony Grant, Justin Mullins, Scott Salchi have been catching a ton of fish on them and some big ones. I fished with Scott Salchi last weekend and he was telling me how incredible this bait has been so far. Salchi got a 50.5" on Sunday and beast of 48" on a Medussa on Monday on the Cave. If I had a picture I would post it. I'll see if Scott has one. Impressive.

I also indicated that in an earlier post; and it continues to be the case w/ several fish moved and 2 more in the boat this weekend. Mojo lures are magic!
