They're o.k. I guess; I've ran one for years. Stability is not really an issue, unless you are a really big guy and jump around or something, but not too bad. They are fine on calm water, but on days that it's choppy you might want to bring some dry clothes along to change into before your chiropractor visit. Mine is an '88 and the hull has been cracked for years. It's a riveted boat though, and that's where it cracked, of course, but I ran her hard. The welded ones with the "revolution hull" probably ride a little better. They are easy to trailer, and don't take much water to float. You need a pretty good sized trolling motor, if you're fishing in the wind, because they will blow around some. I have a 40# thrust and it's not enough to keep up with a stiff wind. I can't see buying another one, but I've had a lot of fun on mine.

Not sure what you're asking, but I've stuck a small tiller motor on the back of mine when fishing 10 hp limit lakes and it worked fine. I just clamped it on beside the main outboard. You don't need long shaft motors to my knowledge. What year and horsepower are you looking at? Mine has a 35 hp on it and will still run in the low 30's with two guys and gear.

I have had 2 of these in the past, and fished out of them for years before I upgraded to a bigger water boat. I loved them, there was enough room if you didn't get crazy with equipment, and the back deck is nice for any guests you may have. very easy to load and unload at just about any ramp you can find. I am not sure what type of water you fish, but the biggest place I ever had it was 3600 acres and in rough water I have taken water over the sides. With that said I have a hadful f 500 or so acre lakes I fish and on the windiest days she was perfectly stable. TImG is right though when he talks about the newer revolution hull, my 99 was much more stable than my 93 with the flatter bottom.

I took the steering column and all that good stuff off the boat. Junked the motor and all the seats.... Its pretty much going too look like this..

But I was wondering if I needed a long shaft or short shaft tiller motor for it... I would guess a long shaft.. Im looking to toss a 20 or 25hp tiller on the back of it and call it a day.... thanks guyss

It has to be a long shaft tiller outboard for it right?
