Location: Wausau | Those waiting for the N. WI opener, where will you be at 4:45 a.m. civil twilight? What will you be tossing?
Me, at 4:30 a.m. I will be off the edge of the emergent weed-line closest to deep water with a Pounder.
Once sunrise hits, I'll slide in and toss a Weagle past the edge leading towards the break. Depending on sun/wind, I'll either stick to the outside edge/open water with Pounder, MagDawg, DDD, Hardhead or go shallow looking for green cabbage or cribs most likely using a glider, twitch or LongTail...I'll see what the fish tell me.
Best of luck to all! |

Location: Ogden, Ut | I'll be trolling for kokanee salmon at Flaming Gorge Reservoir (yes, Slamr - salmon). Then I'll probably head back to the cabin to make the family a big breakfast followed by a trip back to the reservoir w/ them for some rainbow trout action. After a bit of that we'll go jig up some lake trout until the sun begins to warm the surface. Then it's off to the backs of the bays for some smallmouth bass fishing - hopefully on topwater. That's the plan anyway.
Ahhhh, variety.

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | My favorite weekend of the season! I get to spend four days straight fishing with friends (mostly from the front of the boat!) wherever I want. I will probably hit about a 6-10 different lakes in Oneida and Langlade (yes Langlade has a couple musky waters) over the weekend.
I have a brand new bump board that I am dying to try out. I am getting twitchy already! |

Location: New London, Wisconsin | This is my exact opening day as well except I have to add in Grandma and Grandpa to the mix. My 11 year old challanges Grandma annually to a panfish contest while my 6 year old has recently declared a challange to my wife for the same type contest. Should be a blast however, I will be very busy with bait and removing some fish. Small price to pay for 5 hours of early morning musky fishing. Besides, what would a father rather do than keep getting the women of the family hooked on fishing. (My 11 year old will be my partner for the National Musky Open this Aug in Eagle River). Good luck to all and be safe.

Location: Sun Prairie, WI | Lake Minocqua and surrounding lakes, been here for a week fishing for crappies ,walleye, and northern. Lost a 36 incher (northern) boatside last evening and had a HUGE musky follow my small spinner back to the boat and then just sit there for over a minute. Awsome!!! (Thought about a figure 8 for half a second) |

| Heading over to Leech tomorrow morning for a bachelor party. Tee time at 3pm, cocktails and grilling and hanging out with 20 friends tomorrow night, "friendly" fishing tournament on Saturday (I get the bachelor, we're gonna win!), maybe another round of golf on Sunday depending on how the fishing is on Saturday, back on the water Sunday evening for the night bite, then home on Sunday and over to Wisconsin Sunday evening to break in the new boat with some musky slime!
As long as the weather holds, should be a fantastic weekend! |

Location: Roscoe IL | Tomahawk to fish Mohawksin & Nokomis. A quick breakfast at the Junction for a hot Skillet & pancakes, then we hit the water. Bringing the Kids so they can fish for Smallmouth while we (dads) target muskies. Weather looks promising!
Be safe all.. Should be interesting at the boat launches, so I plan on being very patient. |

| Bill - let us know how you do. I'll be here in the Twin Cities, but will have a friend on Moose this weekend.
I put him on a 34" last summer and am hoping he can get closer to a 40" this year.
Good luck to you. Showgirls have done well for us up there.

| Got out today on Enterprise. Not for long though. I had my 2 year old boy and my 6 year old daughter along. There is a really good possibility that I had a follow every cast, I really couldn't tell you. Looking forward to fishing Three Lakes with Norm and Nate J. on Monday, and starting Rhinelander League Tuesday. You gotta love kids in the boat though.
