can't say about ordering, but I had a problem with a rod I bought at a show and via this site I got a quick response and a new rod delivered in short order. A little personal contact works wonders.

When ordering an Okuma product through the Okuma website, you are not actually ordering from Okuma. We work with a company that handles the purchasing part on our actual website. What happens is, when you place an order through the Okuma website, that order is posted to the dealers that are linked up to sell the goods. Once they notice is sent to them, they have 24 hours to "bid" on selling the item. If there are 5 dealers that bid on selling the item, the closest dealer to the customer "wins" the bid. They have another 24-48 hours to ship the item. There have been a couple instances within that time period where nobody had the products. Okuma does our best to pull the item from the site when we are out of stock so it doesn't become a backorder situation. It is a safe a nd secure place to order if you cannot find the rod in your area. If it is in your area, we would like you to support your local dealer.

If you have any other questions in regards to this, feel free to email me at [email protected] and i can run you through them.

As far as the EVX rods.... the response to them has been overwhelming. We have exceeded our projections by 300% on them and are working to get them back in stock. I am receiving another shipment in on the 25th on the 861XH-T's.

We are also expecting the new EVX-C-861XXH-T, EVX-C-931H-T and the EVX-C-931XH-T rods in house in July. I will post an announcement on this site when exactly they will be available.
