I bet 90% of you guys on this site either crimp or tie your own leaders and the other 10% (like me last year), are paying over 10 bucks a leader..
So this year I bought the supplies. Barrels, Fluorocarbon, snaps.
For most of my leaders I plan on going to go with a barrel- Fluoro- Snap in that order. For some odd reason I refuse to crimp so the question here is for the people who prefer to tie them.
What is the best knot for 100lb fluorocarbon to the snap (snap will then be conncected to a crank bait so a little loop at the end will be best for the motion of the lure) ?
Not to mention I practice CPR so maybe that will get me a few more replies!

Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | The first thing I would do is look at other retailers if you're paying over $10 for a single fluoro casting leader. That's out of line on the price. I definitely agree with Brian above. I tried to tie my own a number of years ago and quickly learned I was better off letting the guy that does it for a living do it. That way I know the quality won't be a concern.
