Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | I heard that Marcus Mayluk and partner won Saturday, Gillich and Rozanski took second and big fish.
Day 2 I heard 1 fish caught, ouch! Grapevine stuff, let's hear the official totals.

Location: SE Wisconsin | I was thirty yards from Mayluk and Scott (I think) when they caught both there fish. The registered the first one, came back and caught the second one a half-hour later to double up and take the win. Great job for them, especially since they were hunting that second fish as they had brought her up 6 times already before getting hooks in her. Another cool detail is that I had a camera man on board for the first half of the day and while getting some footage of boats around us, he zoomed in on Marcus' partner right before he set into the first fish. As Marcus began to slide the net in the water, the fish popped off and flopped on the surface for that split second it took for Marcus to save their day and get him in the bag!! All caught on film. I haven't seen the footage yet, but plan to add it to MuskieFirst's web site ASAP.
Joey's big fish measured 44.5" and from what I hear, it was a pretty fish with some good girth to her - Nice job Joey!
The waves this day on Pewaukee were HUGE!! Winds over 30MPH all day took a toll. at least 75% of my spots were unfishable after I burned my first battery in an hour and a half! This resulted in a lot of close proximity fishing between other anglers, yet 15 total fish registered beat the hell out of the two last year! One more thing on a side note, rumor has it someone fell out of their boat from the waves. . . grapevine stuff - details anyone?
Today was flat calm most of the morning, but as some of your from Wisconsin know, it was in the low 30's overnight, so believe me, it was nipply. The sun eventually came out and gave us a nice break from some exhausting weather from the day before. Fishing was HORRIBLE for everyone, limiting most to 1 or 2 sightings and some none. A couple shorts were caught, and a couple fish were lost. My partner and I had an absolute tank up to the boat we guessed at well over 50 and had upwards of 37 - 40 pounds of meat on her! Got a great look at her girth as she careened away by our feet. We spent maybe 4 or 5 hours hunting her!
Joel Michels and Kevin Maulberg won first with a 34" incher, the only fish to be registered all day. They were gracious enough to share some wealth and buy a healthy bar tab for all of us sorry fisherman. All in all, a great time with friends, stories and laughs. . . even if the fishing wasn't the best. |

Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Three muskies in my boat during tournament hours but only one (36.26-inch) was legal size. Brutal winds for sure.
I got my first legal by 9am Saturday on Pewaukee and got back to work only to watch Marcus score(37-inch)five casts after they got back from checking in thier first fish(36.75). Those two plucked two fish next to me in less than a half hour and won the Pewaukee WMT. Got to give them credit for that and the beer they bought after. They had the only double.
Rumor has it only one fish (34-inch) was caught on Okauchee.
Congrats Tuff Daddy on Okauchee. WEAGLE BABY |

Location: SE Wisconsin | I had to share this with everyone. I'm sorry I don't know the two of you in this boat, but this was this morning as we waited for our ease-out. The boat is a forest green Ranger, and this pic was as perfect as a well thought out Terry Redlin painting. This is the other half of musky fishing, these kinds of sights right here!

Location: SE Wisconsin | A lot of people have been asking me to let them know when the video clip of Marcus netting his partners fish will be posted to the site. . .
This week has been difficult to fit in editing time with the camera man and my buddy who has the program and the know-how for uploading from a camcorder, etc. We will be headed North for the weekend tomorrow and returning on Monday. Expect the video clip to be posted sometime next week. Hopefully earlier than later. |

Location: SE Wisconsin | SCOTT LEWANDOWSKI & MARCUS MALYUK's first of their two winning fish of the Pewaukee Lake WMT event a few weeks ago was captured on film from the setting of the hook to the impressive save by the net man. As I mentioned at the awards ceremony, I will be posting the video on MuskieFirst.Com and YouTube.Com. I finally have the tape from the day, and have editing plans tomorrow evening with intentions of posting that night as well. It will be a short compilation of footage from the day, but that will certainly be the highlight! Look forward to seeing it here Thursday morning.
